From a steakhouse to a slow-food restaurant, there’s something to tantalize every palate.

Less than a month ahead of Cayo Levantado Resort’s opening on June 1, the five-star resort has revealed new mouth-watering details that are sure to excite foodies.

As reported by Detour, the all-inclusive Dominican Republic resort is focused on sustainability, utilizing technology such as solar panels, renewable energy sources and a robust waste management strategy to create an eco-friendly impact. Wellness is also a pillar of Cayo Levantado’s brand, as the resort emphasizes the importance of treating the mind, body, and soul. The resort’s concept is “A Rhythm All Its Own,” and guests are encouraged to “discover your own, inner rhythm,” by way of four wellness paths: refresh, restore, relax and renew.

Cayo Levantado Resort also prides itself on the gastronomy options it will soon provide guests. According to a news release from the resort, Cayo Levantado Resort will feature five unique dining experiences for guests, all of which aim to emphasize the area’s local ingredients and cultural traditions.

All five dining concepts are expertly led by a team of experienced chefs including executive chef Antonio Tridenti, chef Carlos Romero, and beverage director and sommelier Aneley Caceres.

“At Cayo Levantado Resort, our culinary offerings are more than just delicious meals, they are a reflection of the vibrant culture and bountiful natural resources that surround us, showcasing the heart and soul of our island,” Hervé Blondel, General Manager Cayo Levantado Resort, said in a press release.

“Our chefs take pride in using only the freshest and most flavorful local ingredients to create dishes that are steeped in the rich culinary traditions of the island and bring the best of the region’s cuisine combined with international flare,” Blondel continued. “From the tantalizing spices of our Caribbean-inspired dishes to Japanese-Peruvian fusion, Mediterranean delicacies and the succulent seafood that is a staple of our coastal cuisine, every bite is a celebration of the unique flavors and traditions that make our island so special. We invite our guests to savor and experience our world-class culinary offerings and immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of our island.”

Palma Real (International Cuisine)

Named after the palm trees on the shores of Samaná Bay, Palma Real takes inspiration from the vibrant local markets throughout the Dominican Republic. In addition to traditional Dominican cuisine, guests can also expect to taste Italian offerings including pastas and pizzas, fresh seafood, a variety of meats, and French desserts.

CAREY International Restaurant (Day and Night)

Cayo Levantado Resort’s beach club, OLAH, serves as the backdrop for this restaurant, which transforms from day to night. During the daytime, CAREY serves a variety of lunch options and á la carte international eats, including Mediterranean and Asian fare. Moving into the afternoon, the restaurant also offers snacks and drinks to enjoy by the water.

Santa Yuca (Slow Food Restaurant)

Santa Yuca is an embodiment of Cayo Levantado’s wellness philosophy. The restaurant, located in the Yubarta wellness area, specializes in sustainably sourced, fresh produce, as well as slow cooking traditions. Guests are encouraged to take their time while eating and enjoy the slower pace of island life. Nutritious breakfast and lunch meals, as well as healthy snacks, are all curated and designed by a team of chefs and mixologists that are overseen by an expert nutritionist.

Senda (Dominican Restaurant)

Senda is inspired by Dominican poet, Pedro Mir, and his poem, “There is a Country in the World.” Meaning “pathway,” Senda takes guests on a culinary expedition through the local and traditional Dominican cuisine. The design of the restaurant also aids in this exploration, as each room has a different atmosphere and takes guests through the geography and customs of the island. Sedna is available to guests at an additional cost.

Manaya (Steakhouse)

Steak takes center stage at this restaurant, where fire-grilled delicacies are celebrated. Guests can indulge in world-class cuts of meat from Spain, the U.S., Australia and Japan, as well as fresh fish, and an expertly curated wine list. The interior design of the space utilizes indigenous wood and stone to compliment the flames of the grill, making for an overall unforgettable experience. Manaya is available to guests at an additional cost.
