United will fly to more than 100 international cities this summer on new routes

The airline is adding 114 flights to its schedule, 25 of which are on completely new routes, including Malaga, Dubai, and Stockholm.

United Airlines has increased the number of its flights to international destinations by 25 percent compared to last summer to accommodate the unprecedented demand for international travel this summer.

Travel Pulse reports that bookings for United Airlines this summer are 15% higher than bookings for the same period last year. Moreover, during the peak travel season, the airline will offer service to 114 overseas destinations, including around two dozen brand-new routes.

United Airlines’ schedule for the summer of 2023 features the following flights:

  • There are now more flights to Italy’s capital, as well as Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, Shannon, Edinburgh, and Naples

  • There are about two dozen flights to London Heathrow every day

  • Malaga, Dubai, and Stockholm now have brand-new service

  • Flights to Seoul, South Korea depart San Francisco twice daily

  • San Francisco-based service to Hong Kong

  • Service to locations such as Amman, the Azores, Palma de Mallorca, and Tenerife

  • New routes to Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane across Australia

  • There are 10 daily transoceanic flights to Haneda, Narita, and Osaka in Japan

“With unprecedented demand for travel overseas, we’ll have more service to popular cities while also adding new and unique destinations for customers to explore,” Patrick Quayle, senior vice president of global network planning and alliances, recently shared in astatement.

Additionally,Detour reports that United Airlines is the first American airline to offer direct flights to the United Arab Emirates since 2016 thanks to its new nonstop service to Dubai. The airline and Emirates have entered into a historic commercial agreement, and these flights are a part of that.

With new direct flights between New York/Newark and Malaga, United is also expanding its international network to include a fifth Spanish location. These flights will launch on May 31 and run three times per week.

On May 27, United will begin operating flights from New York/Newark to Stockholm for the first time since 2019.

Beginning on May 25, United will also offer flights between San Francisco and Rome. The only American airline with nonstop service from its hub in San Francisco to Europe is United. It will provide nonstop service this summer to seven well-known European cities, including Rome, Milan, Venice, and Naples.

United will also increase its seasonal service to Shannon, Ireland, beginning May 25. The new daily service will depart from Chicago O’Hare. Only United offers nonstop service from the United States to Shannon. Direct flights to Dublin are available on this airline from Chicago, New York, and Washington, Dulles.

The airline is also launching a brand-new service this summer, connecting the nation’s capitals (Washington, DC, and Berlin, Germany). United is the only airline that will offer daily nonstop service between the cities, and they will launch this service on May 25.
