Famed stylist, well-known for his work with Zendaya, walked in the Boss spring/summer show in Miami.

Although he’s known for styling some of the most famed models, actors and artists in looks straight off the runway, stylist Law Roach recently tried his hand at showcasing the fashions himself. The stylist – whose career took off after working with Zendaya and Celine Dion – strutted down the runway during a surprise appearance in the Boss Spring/Summer 2023 show in Miami March 15.

Roach, who describes himself as an “image architect,” was welcomed with cheers from the crowd as he walked in a cream suit and accompanying white evening shirt and cream scarf. The look was completed by light brown leather drivers and his signature long, black hair.

The appearance came after the stylist made the announcement that he was retiring, which made him a trending topic. On Instagram he posted a graphic of the word “RETIRED,” saying that his “cup is empty.”

“Thank you to everyone who’ve supported me and my career over the years,” Roach wrote in an Instagram caption. “Every person that trusted me with their image, I’m so grateful for you all. If this business was just about the clothes I would do it for the rest of my life but unfortunately it’s not! The politics, the lies and false narratives finally got me! You win … I’m out.”

Lovers of Roach and his frequent collaborations with actress Zendaya were particularly dismayed, as his announcement left the public wondering who would style the “Euphoria” actress. Roach responded to these rumors on Twitter, assuring fans that he and Zendaya “are forever.”

In another tweet, he elaborated on their relationship saying, “She’s my little sister and it’s real love not the fake industry love.”

If Roach holds true to his word and bids farewell to the industry, at least he’s going out in style. In addition to his runway appearance, he has been responsible for some of the most talked-about looks of 2023, so far. He styled Zendaya for both the NAACP Image Awards and SAG Awards in February, in which she donned two looks for each event. More recently, he styled Megan Thee Stallion for Vanity Fair’s Oscars after party, which was the rapper’s first public appearance in 2023.
