“[Even] makeup comes out better when you’re listening to music!” She told Detour when we met her backstage at IAF 2022 in New Orleans, where the Trinidadian soca artist performed with her fellow countryman Bunji Garlin.
And music definitely sets the mood for traveling, Blackman added, saying that local beats help her get the vibes of a place she’s visiting.
