Grenadian soca artist, Mr. Killa, talks with Detour about how music can help you learn about Grenada, aka the Island of Spice and names must-see spots in Grenada.

One thing you will quickly notice about soca artist Mr. Killa is that he loves his country. The island of Grenada in the West Indies, or the Spice Island, as the artist calls it, is a beautiful destination he honors through his music.

“People can definitely learn so much through our music,” Hollice Johna Mapp, better known as Mr. Killa told Detour as we sat down in New York’s famed Cult lab. “[about] the energy that we have, our expression as a people.”

As an artist and entertainer, MR. Killa is interested in ways other cultures express themselves – an interest he explores through traveling, His latest surprise was a visit to China.
