The Amex Centurion Lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport recently reopened, vastly expanded, and now features a sleek coffee bar.

If you’re passing through Seattle and have an American Express credit card, you’re in for something special. The Centurion Lounge at SeaTac Airport, which Amex recently reopened, has grown from 4,500 square feet to 14,000 square feet.

Centurion Lounges are known for their stylish decor, and this one is no exception, noted Travel + Leisure. The bar serves as the room’s focal point, and a creative arched pergola adorned with tiny globe lights serves as the space’s unifying design element. Coffee beans will be used to create a 40-square-foot mural of the Seattle skyline by artist Harold Caudio, who was commissioned by Amex.

While we’re on the topic of caffeine, the Centurion Lounge at SeaTac International Airport is the first in the channel to offer a full-service coffee bar, complete with coffee from Seattle roaster Caffè Umbria and Amex’s own proprietary blend, Blue Roast by American Express. Smoothies, kombucha, and healthy snacks are also available at the café.

The lounge also boasts some of the best local food in the area. Amex has enlisted James Beard Award semifinalist and chef at Communion Restaurant and Bar, Kristi Brown, to establish a “Seattle Soul” menu featuring regional produce (beyond coffee). Highlights included blackened chicken cobb salad, “Peach Cobbla” French toast, and Trinidadian-spiced pork belly, all of which reflected Brown’s personal background and culinary style.

You need a lounge-accessible American Express card to enter the lounge. Among these are the Centurion Card, the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Card, the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business Card, the Platinum Card, the Business Platinum Card, and the Corporate Platinum Card. Delta cardholders can only access domestic Centurion Lounges, as well as those in Hong Kong and London, and must be flying Delta on the day they enter the lounge.

To access the enlarged Amex Centurion Lounge at SeaTac, head to the Central Terminal’s mezzanine level. Opening hours are from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., every day.
