MMW is a massive event and can get overwhelming. Here are some event highlights to pique your interest.

One of the biggest parties of the year is just around the corner and it’s happening in Miami. Miami Music Week, which takes place March 21-26 this year, is one of the world’s most popular electronic music events. Thousands of people from all corners of the world gather in the Magic City during the last week in March to partake in the “dance music paradise.” 2023 marks MMW’s 10th year and will be a week-long rave featuring a wide range of events for music lovers and party goers to enjoy.

Because MMW is such a massive event, it can be overwhelming for the event’s newcomers and veterans, alike. Here are some highlights, courtesy of Timeout, to pique your interest and give you a better idea of what you can expect while you’re there.

Shows

As the name implies, there will be a lot of shows and events to hit up throughout the days and into the nights of Miami Music Week. Mega-night club E11even is hosting its own week of programming from Wednesday through Sunday, featuring Diplo, Idris Elba, Deadmau5, Cedric Gervais and more, plus a surprise guest.

On March 22, DJs Seth Troxler and Honeyluv will be performing a special back-to-back set at cocktail bar, Floyd. Troxler is known for his Detroit and Chicago-style house sounds, while Honeyluv has been taking the dance music scene by storm in L.A.

If you’re wanting a more intimate, underground experience, check out Pendulum, presented by British producer Steve Lawler, at Do Not Sit on The Furniture in South Beach. Miami-based DJ Octa Digio willopen the night.

To conclude Miami Music Week, Ultra Music Festival and RESISTANCE Miami will be happening March 24-26 and March 23-26, respectively. More on that later…

Parties

To be in Miami and not have a party on or by the water would be silly, right? Luckily MMW is known for the pool parties that take place throughout the week. The DJ Mag Miami Pool Party is hosted by DJ Mag at the Sagamore Hotel in South Beach. Purple Disco Machine is the headliner, with Cassy, Dombresky and more on the lineup.

Spinnin’ Records is hosting Spinnin’s Sessions at the Nautilus South Beach. Alan Walker, ACRAZE, Dubdogz, Lucas & Steve, and more are scheduled to perform. A special headliner has yet to be announced.

Ibiza’s Cafe Mambo is also getting in on the Miami fun. The legendary bar and restaurant, which markets itself as having the most famous sunset in the world, is hosting a poolside party at the Kimpton Surfcomber. The lineup includes Art Department, Chus, Classmatic, The Son of Ash, and special guests.

Ultra Music Festival and RESISTANCE Miami

One of the biggest draws to Miami Music Week is Ultra Music Festival. According to the MMW website, Ultra is considered the world’s premier electronic music festival with over 165,000 fans from 90 countries making their way to Miami for the three-day event. This year’s festival is going down in Downtown Miami March 24-26 and will feature performances from Swedish House Mafia, Martin Garrix, Zedd, Gryffin, TImmy Trumpet and more. With the festival’s over-the-top production, booming bass and high energy, this is the event you’re going to want to make time for.

As if one festival was enough, how about a festival within a festival? M2 will be home to the RESISTANCE Miami Club Residency. This will kickoff “season one” of the residency, which will also feature Race Week on May 5-7, and weekly Saturday events October 28-May 11, 2024.
