Netflix’s “Love is Blind” is back and Seattle singles are ready to find love. In honor of season four, here is a potential date night itinerary.

Netflix is taking viewers back to the pods with a new season of the unconventional, yet addicting dating show, “Love is Blind.” For those unfamiliar with the show’s premise, the series follows a group of singles who hope to find love “sight unseen.” Men and women live separately and date in “pods,” where they speak to and connect with each other through a wall. Only pairs who decide to get engaged during the experiment will be allowed to see each other. Once they get back into the real world, the strength of their relationship and connection is tested.

The series has amassed a major following since its premiere in 2020. Season one has the highest couple success rate, with two couples remaining married today, including fan favorites Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cam Hamilton.

The reveal of season 4’s cast has many viewers excited, as more Black singles are part of the season’s dating pool. While seasons two and three each featured a Black couple post-pods, viewers couldn’t help but notice the lack of screen time for the Black singles, despite diverse casts. Fans of the show took notice, including Speed-Hamilton. I don’t like how LIB be cutting all the black women. How come they are always in the trailer but not the show…” said Speed-Hamilton via Twitter in 2022.

Season 4, which was filmed in Seattle, will feature 10 Black singles and hopefully they have a successful run at finding love. In the event that they do, here are some potential date ideas for when they leave the pods.

Start the night with…..

An activity. Doing something with your partner or potential love interest is always a great way to jumpstart a date. Couples who are into nature and the outdoors are in luck because Seattle’s mountainous landscape makes for the perfect backdrop for a hike or guided tour. If this sounds like your idea of fun, consider Mt. Rainier National Park. Thrill seekers can head over to Blade and Timber for some axe throwing. Located in the heart of Seattle, you and your date can tap into your competitive nature during a match to see who can score the most points. Loser buys dinner.

Enjoy Seattle’s culinary offerings at…..

The historic Pike Place Market. There’s something for everyone, as this public marketplace offers over 40 eateries and restaurants specializing in cuisines ranging from Asian to Mediterranean. You and your boo can stick to one place or add some variety to the experience by tasting a little bit of everything. As if the food isn’t enough this iconic Seattle location has over 100 retail shops to explore, as well as a crafts market and farmers market. To be honest, the date could start and end here.

Drinks anyone?

If you and your date aren’t ones to pass up a post-dinner nightcap, Seattle’s got you covered. Consider a cocktail making class with Seattle’s Favorite Bartender, Joe Wargo, at Cure Cocktail. Purchasing a class comes with dinner, two cocktails and drink samples. Cocktails change per season, depending on local ingredients and guests can choose to make the cocktail being demoed or create their own.

If beers are more your style, consider sampling some brews at Pike Brewing, which is located next to Pike Pike Place Market. The brewery has offerings for any beer drinker including, IPAs, stout beers, pilsners and ales. Pike Brewing also has a barrel aged beer program. Their first release, The Long Dark, spent 36 months aging in Woodinville Whisky Barrels. The flavor profile is dark and fruity, featuring notes of Port, brown sugar and vanilla. You and your date might want to share, though, if this isn’t your last spot. The Long Dark’s alcohol content comes in at a whopping 13.3% ABV.

End the night right with…..

Stargazing. Nothing says romance like cuddling up with your lover and admiring the night’s sky. Elevate the experience by renting a garden dome. This unique location provides coziness and quiet for you and your partner to connect and share your favorite moments of the day. The dome is equipped with a 55” TV if you want to watch a movie (or relive your love story’s origins on a Netflix reality dating show), a kitchenette to whip up a late night snack, and of course Wi-Fi if you can’t wait until the next day to post your date night highlights.
