That caramel macchiato with a double shot will be a little tastier knowing it earned you points for Starbucks and Delta Airlines.

Attention Starbucks loyalists: your favorite order can now earn you dual points.

The coffee chain teamed up with Delta Airlines in October 2022 to allow customers, who are also Delta loyalty members, to earn Delta SkyMiles points on Starbucks orders. AFAR reports that every dollar spent at Starbucks earns members one mile. The partnership is reciprocal, as Starbucks members can double points, or Stars, on purchases made during days when they’re traveling with the airline.

Eligible Starbucks purchases are limited to food, drink and merchandise. This, unfortunately, means that the birthday, anniversary and holiday Starbucks gift cards you planned to give to loved ones won’t go toward Delta miles; the “just because” Frappuccino you planned to pick up for a friend, however, will.

The brands are also incentivizing customers to link their Starbucks and Delta accounts by offering even more points. Members who do so by March 31 will earn 500 bonus SkyMiles and an extra 200 Stars when they make a Starbucks purchase.

If you’re ready to get in on the rewards, here’s how to link your accounts:

  1. Go to deltastarbucks.com and fill out the form.
  2. Fill out the fields. Be sure to have your Starbucks and Delta account number on hand, as you’ll be asked to provide them.
  3. Agree to the terms and conditions, and you’re ready to earn points!

To earn Stars and SkyMiles, purchases have to be made using a payment method or Starbucks gift card registered to your Starbucks Rewards account. You can also scan your barcode in the Starbucks mobile app before you checkout.
