It is now possible to book a seat on the all-new Delta Airline route that will take you to the Bahamas.

Attention winter travelers: Delta Air Lines will be taking off for the first time to Nassau in the Bahamas starting this Saturday and will be running until April 7, 2024. This move is set to provide travelers with enhanced options and greater convenience when planning their getaways.

The flight will be operating on a weekly basis during this new seasonal time and depart from La Guardia (LGA) New York at 10:45 a.m. and arrive in Nassau at 2:00 p.m. Tickets can be booked today, as reported by Travel + Leisure

Since LGA lacks a federal inspection station for customs and immigration requirements, new foreign services to and from the airport aren’t frequently seen. As a result, only pre-cleared international flights that offer U.S. customs and immigration before departure are permitted to land at LaGuardia. Nassau International Airport is one such airport, so when you get to LaGuardia, you’ll effectively be treated like you just got off a domestic flight.

“Less than three hours from New York City, Nassau Paradise Island is so close, yet it feels like it is a world away, and we are thrilled that Delta is adding new flights this winter for those who are looking to escape the cold and experience The Bahamas,” Joy Jibrilu, CEO of Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board said in a statement to Travel + Leisure.
