“Abbott Elementary” starJanelle James is bringing her “Newly Famous” comedy tour to the Queen City. James hits the stage at the Comedy Zone in Charlotte on March 10-11. Best known for her role as Ava Coleman on the ABC sitcom, James has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Critics’ Choice Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and an Independent Spirit Award.

She was a “New Face” at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and named one of The 50 Most Funny People in Brooklyn. Her latest on-stage appearance was featured in Showtime’s“The Stand Up.”

The Comedy Zone is located in Charlotte’s uptown area in AvidExchanges’s Music Factory. The Music Factory is the city’s nightlife, entertainment, and music hub.
